Description: This not-for-profit hospital is seeking a locum tenens to permanent General Surgeon to join their staff in early March. The hospital is part of a larger, very well established system of hospitals that has been providing superior healthcare services to its patients for over 100 years! The new general surgeon is needed from 3/5/12 and at least until 6/30/12; it is possible that the need will extend until October, 2012. This is a full-time general surgery position that may become permanent for the right candidate. Hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. General surgeons usually see an assortment of new patients, follow-up patients, and office procedure appointments for an average of 15-20 patients in the clinic per day.
