Description: Texas has a fantastic opening for a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in San Antonio! This position offers weekends off and has no call responsibility! Responsibilities for this position consist of: performing comprehensive health assessments of government beneficiaries, ordering/performing selected diagnostic tests and procedures, utilizing the database obtained in the health assessment and diagnostic studies, interpreting clinical findings and developing an accurate differential health care problems list, and identifying and appropriately utilizing available resources in meeting the health care needs of patients and families. The new NP must also (within the scope of practice) develop and implement health promotion, illness/injury prevention, and therapeutic plans in accordance with the client’s diagnosis or healthcare need. Candidates will need two years of WHNP experience as well as three years of experience as a midlevel practitioner in order to be considered for this position. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification are also a prerequisite.
