Description: This area is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to fill a position in an unopposed family medicine residency program. The new doctor will be hospital-employed and will be joining a group of seven other physicians providing for the needs of 300K residents. The Family Medicine Faculty Physician precepts residents in four, half-day sessions per week, serves as the attending physician in rotation with the other faculty members, and provides direct patient care in four, half-day sessions per week at the Family Medicine Center. Other responsibilities include: curriculum one day per week, attendance of meetings, research, morning reports 2 days a week, and didactic teaching. Call is one weekday per week and one weekend per month. Candidates should have accumulated at least two years of previous experience. Resident/medical student teaching experience is preferred. OB is preferred. Board certification is required for this position, or the physician must become board certified within the first year.
Compensation: This position offers a salary commensurate with experience and a full benefits package, which includes: life, disability, and health insurance (with dental and vision for the provider), 5 CME days off per year with an annual CME allowance of $2000, $1000 per year for professional organization membership, 26 paid days off per year, a hospital paid retirement plan, and student loan forgiveness.
