Description: This facility is a modern, independent community hospital that provides quality healthcare to the region and offers a broad spectrum of surgical and diagnostic services for inpatient and outpatient care. They are searching for one full time dermatologist to work office hours of 8-5 with evenings and Saturdays available. On call requirement is 15 days a month with a self-regulated schedule. There is a support staff to assist the physician. Candidate should be board certified/eligible. A Mohs surgeon would be considered in combination with general dermatology services. The next closest Mohs surgeon is between 1.5 and 2 hours away. Patients currently wait months or travel long distances for dermatology services. This area is hungry for a new dermatology practice to be established, and growth potential is excellent as two northern Michigan dermatologists are retiring in 2010.
Compensation: The salary ranges from $310K/year to $360K/year. A comprehensive benefit package will be provided along with a $7,500 relocation allowance, retirement plan, dues/publication allowance, 6 paid holidays, tax sheltered annuity, 4 weeks paid time off and a CME allowance of $3,500 per year.
