Job description:

·         Responsible for all aspects of credentialing, reappointments and maintaining active privileges for all medical staff.

·         Maintain all credentialing files per Joint Commission Standards, understand HIPAA rules, perform primary source verification, process re-credentialing applications, keep up with CAQH and other online systems; ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications.

·         Answer and direct phone calls.

·         Input and maintain website, database and job posting boards.

·         Greet persons entering organization and direct to destination.

·         Draft documents and correspondence as needed.

·         Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

·         Compensation is commensurate with experience.

·         Hours are 8am – 5pm.

 

Skills:

·         Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet resources.

·         Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization.

·         Ability to work independently and to establish, monitor, and achieve time-sensitive goals with minimal supervision.

·         Excellent organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos and emails.

·         Professional personal presentation.

·         Strong customer service skills.

·         Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

 

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         2 years of clerical or general office experience required.

·         2 years of medical credentialing experience required.

 

*Preferred experience in medical staff services, or healthcare environment.

*Preferred knowledge of a wide range of provider types, provider specialties, and the organization of    medical practice groups.
